Torfa (meaning peat in norse) is peated to 20ppm and aged in ex-Bourbon casks. A superb example of how good younger malts can be, with its well balanced mix of sweet vanilla, vibrant citrus, coastal peat smoke and peppery spice. A very well made and carefully crafted Whisky.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Very fresh and coastal with notes of sea spray, preserved lemons, smoked lime curd, sooty sea salt, stem ginger, anise, peppercorns, green herbs and a pears in stock syrup sweetness.
Palate
Salted galia melon, white pepper, smoked apricot, coastal seaside peat, lime pickle, herbal/heathery notes and smoked oatcakes.
Finish
Key lime pie with a smoked vanilla biscuit base, salty sea spray, pineapple on a sooty bbq, some vanilla oak sweetness and white pepper on the long and tangy finish.
