Distillery Bottling

Part of Glenglassuagh's wood finishes series. The wood finishes series features four distinct styles: a Port Wood Finish, a Peated Port Wood Finish, a Pedro Ximinez Sherry Wood Finish and a Peated Virgin Oak finish. Aged for 5 years in ex-Bourbon casks and finished for its final year in PX Sherry wood. This is lusciously sweet and full bodied. During finishing, the PX cask imbues Glenglassaugh with sun-dried warmth, reminiscent of a richly baked fruit dessert, spiced by the sea.

Creamy vanilla dominates, with hints of white pepper over caramelised orchard fruits, suggesting a luscious, sun-dried sweetness.

A dusting of vanilla-infused Demerara sugar over pear tarte Tatin.

A cedar wood spice and rich, sweet barley.

(Glen-GLASS-uh) Glenglassaugh was founded in 1875 near Sandend on the Aberdeenshire coast by James Moir and his nephews. Its history has been unusually stop-start, with long silent periods during the 20th century before production resumed in 2008 after a major revival. The distillery later joined the BenRiach company in 2013, before becoming part of Brown-Forman in 2016 alongside Benriach and GlenDronach.
