Since 2021, Peter Donnelly, Director at Pol Roger Portfolio and Keeper of the Quaich, has curated a collection celebrating Glenfarclas' tradition and innovation under the Grant family's leadership.
To mark the occasion, on January 1st 2000, the Grant family hand-selected a small number of casks to be filled with the first spirit of the new millennium. Of the casks chosen for this special occasion, among them was a First Fill Sherry Butt from the renowned Bodega Jose y Miguel Martin. Only 600 decanters were filled with this extraordinary whisky, bottled at 47.4% ABV and in its natural colour. Aged for 24 years, this whisky was drawn from the 12th cask filled that day, the First Fill Sherry Butt. It is a perfect blend of Glenfarclas' time-honoured craftsmanship and forward-thinking innovation - a true rarity and a piece of whisky history.
