Glenfarclas Limited Release Port Pipe Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky 20 Year Old · 2003 Vintage
In stock
Starting in 2021, Peter Donnelly, Director at Pol Roger Portfolio and Keeper of the Quaich, has chosen five whiskies in the collection, ranging in different ages, fills, colour and price.
This series is a celebration of the tradition and innovation under the stewardship of the Grant family, offering whisky enthusiasts the opportunity to sample styles beyond not just the core range, but beyond anything they may have seen before.
There will be only 600 decanters of each age statement bottled at natural colour, and released as a UK exclusive. This 20 Year Old Port Pipe Decanter is truly a rarity from Glenfarclas, and a tantalising departure from the more customary sherry cask which offers the drinker a completely new experience.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Dark copper with ruby-amber sheen and mahogany undertones.
Nose
Hints of eucalyptus mingle with dried raisins and honey, shaped by a delicate thread of light oak for a lifted, layered aroma.
Palate
Rich, ripe red fruits predominate the palate, interlaced with bright citrus notes of lemon and lime. A crisp, unexpected freshness lingers, surprising for a 20-year-old Port Pipe Glenfarclas.
Finish
A delicate echo of port lingers on the finish, perfectly balanced, with a long, savoury tail that invites slow, reverent sips.
