Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep mahogany with a warm amber glow and coppery-red highlights.

Nose

Heavy aromas of Oloroso sherry, treacle toffee and Christmas cake, unfolding into dark dried fruit and spice as the first-fill cask whispers from the glass.

Palate

Full-bodied and luxurious, the palate unfurls rich, complex layers of sweet malty sherry, with velvety toffee, dried fruit and gentle spice, finishing long and warmly.

Finish

An extremely long finish, with spice notes weaving through coffee and dark chocolate, complemented by tobacco and treacle. A light wisp of smoke lingers, carrying the sweetness into a lasting, elegant finale.
