Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a warm copper glow and rich mahogany undertones.
Nose
Opulent sherry envelops the nose: prune and fig mingle with orange zest and dark treacle. Toasted almond and walnut add nutty depth, while cinnamon and clove bring a warming spice. Subtle oak and a whisper of leather balance a glossy raisin sweetness that lingers, inviting the first sip.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied, this sherry-cask Glenfarclas coats the palate with rich dried fruits—fig, prune, raisin—interwoven with orange zest. Cocoa, toffee and honeyed nuts mingle with spicy notes of cinnamon and clove, supported by a velvety oak backbone. Warm, refined and lingering, the finish blooms with fruitcake sweetness, ribboned spices and a whisper of leather.
Finish
Opulent, long finish that clings with velvety sherry sweetness. Dried fruits—raisin, fig, prune—layer with dark chocolate, toffee and a touch of orange zest. Spices rise—cinnamon and clove—over warm, toasted oak, with a subtle almond note. A refined, lingering echo of aged sherry that fades with graceful, resinous richness.
