Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber with copper-gold shimmer and a mahogany-tinted edge.
Nose
Sherry-soaked fragrance of dried figs and prunes, with ripened orange zest and toasted almond. Rich leather and cocoa mingle with warm vanilla, cinnamon and clove as the oak breathes through 34 years, delivering a luxurious, contemplative aroma that hints at a bygone era.
Palate
Silky and opulent on the palate, this 34-year-old Glenesk cloaks the mouth in fruitcake richness—figs, dried apricot and orange zest—paired with dark cacao and toffee. Sherry depth threads through toasted almond and spice, while a creamy, mouth-coating texture builds to a long, refined finish of fudgy caramel, nutmeg and lingering fruit.
Finish
Silky and enduring, the finish unfurls with rich dried fruit and dark cocoa, a sherried sweetness that clings to the palate. Fig, raisin and orange zest braid with warm spice and leather, while toasted almond threads drift into a long, velvet fade of caramel and cigar-box nuance.
