Glenesk (silent) Connoisseurs Choice Single Malt Scotch Whisky 18 Year Old · 1985 Vintage
Out of stock
An independant bottling of Glenesk by Gordon and Macphail as part of their old style connoisseurs choice range. A distillery with a chequred history, this east Highland distillery had been both a malt and grain distillery and gone through more identity changes than the late, great, Prince. This particular bottling was distilled in 1985 shortly before the closure of the distillery and is a heavilly sherried example.
On the nose, strawberry, dried fruit, oaky spice and nuttiness. The palate is thick and syrupy with dark fruit, oak, leather and nuts. The finish is a touch sweet with confected red fruits, raisin and woody spice.
