Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold hues and a mahogany edge, a warm, honeyed glow that hints at sherry-laced richness.
Nose
Opulent and lifting, the nose pours honeyed orchard fruit into a cascade of dried apricot, raisin and toffee. Sherried sweetness threads vanilla, orange zest and cinnamon with aging oak, while a touch of leather and walnut adds depth. At cask strength, the aroma is generous, warm and inviting.
Palate
Full-bodied and velvety, this cask-strength Glendullan coats the palate with oily richness. Dark fruit compote—prune, fig, plum—meets burnt caramel, toffee and cocoa. Orange zest and cinnamon-clove spice weave through rich sherry, while roasted almond and coffee add depth. A warming, persistent sweetness lingers with gentle oak.
Finish
Luxurious finish soaked in sherry sweetness, with dark plum and raisin lacquered by dark chocolate and toasted oak. Spices—cinnamon and clove—linger briefly before a warm, lasting fade. A drying, polished oak leaves an impression of indulgence and reserve.
