Distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2022 at 56.8% ABV, this 26-year-old Glenburgie was released by Gordon & MacPhail for the Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength series. Matured in a first fill sherry puncheon (cask #6349), the cask yielded 564 bottles.
Glenburgie Distillery, founded in 1829 near Forres in Speyside, is best known for producing spirit used in blends such as Ballantine’s, though independent bottlings like this highlight the distillery’s elegant orchard-fruit character.

Colour
Dark, burnished amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany-tinged depth.
Nose
Sweet stewed raisin with orange peel and rich fruitcake, evolving to milk chocolate, then cinnamon spice and a hint of grape fruit.

Peppery with sweet sultanas and figs. Citrus zest lifts to toasted hazelnuts and baked apple, delivering a crisp, lingering warmth.
Finish
A full, gently drying finish that lingers with warming spice and a distinct herbal edge.
