A corking 28 year old Glen Moray (rather rare to see Glen Morays of this age) released by That Boutique y Whisky Company. Only their 3rd batch from this Speyside distillery and just one of 143 bottles. Soft and fruity in nature, a very popular whisky that is rediscovering it's appeal out of the shadow of it's former owners Glenmorangie.
A lovely sugary sweet nose of milk chocolate and dessicated coconut, there's also a fruity, berry element with pink lady apples and vanilla oak. The palate is spicy and warming, with more red fruitiness and coconut. The finish is oaky and waxy with marmalade shavings and sweet spice.

Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery-hued edges, a warm, honeyed glow.
Nose
Sugary-sweet on the nose, milk chocolate and desiccated coconut lead, with a fruity berry lift of pink Lady apples, wrapped in vanilla oak.
Palate
Spicy and warming, the palate carries red fruit notes and coconut, balanced by vanilla oak. Soft, creamy and fruit-driven, finishing with a gentle, lingering warmth.
Finish
Oak-forward and waxy, the finish carries marmalade shavings and a whisper of sweet spice, lingering warmly and softly on the palate.
