Distilled in 1999, the spirit was initially matured in ex-Bourbon hogsheads for 13 years, before being recasked into a small batch of 25 freshly dumped Premier Grand Cru Bordeaux hogsheads in 2013. Cask numbers 808 and 810 were selected for this bottling and the Whisky was finished in these casks for 88 months.

Colour
Deep amber with a warm copper glow and subtle garnet-red edges.
Nose
Opulent nose of black cherry, cassis and blackberry, with plum and dried fig. Bordeaux cask influence yields vanilla, polished cedar and a whisper of tobacco and leather. Subtle cocoa and spice—clove, nutmeg—linger with refined oak, delivering a wine-kissed, luxurious aroma that hints at the richness ahead.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied and richly fruited, with velvety warmth. Ripe blackcurrant, blackberry and plum drive the palate, lifted by prune and fig. Bordeaux cask influence adds winey depth, hints of dark chocolate, espresso and spice, while creamy vanilla and polished oak frame the structure.
Finish
An extended wine-kissed finish with dark berry and plum notes, draped in cocoa and vanilla. Bordeaux cask influence delivers polished oak tannins and a touch of spice, leaving a warm, lingering glow that gradually fades to a refined, resinous echo.
