Edradour Batch #2 Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky 25 Year Old
In stock
Even before its official founding in the year of 1825, the distillery was running illicit stills in the pocket glen near Balnald, Pitlochry for a long time by local farmers. Replicas of the very old production equipment like the Morton refrigerators, the tiny stills, the wooden wash backs and the worm tubs are still in use today within the old farm buildings from more than 200 years ago.
In its long history, the distillery has always been a survivor through both lean and prosperous times: from the original success story of blended Scotch whisky to the ownership by the New York Mafia, from large corporate ownership to a welcome return to independent Scottish hands - the distillery is still producing handmade farm single malts.
The Edradour 25 year old is of natural colour and un-chillfiltered. It comes presented in a high quality wooden display box and features certificates from the distillery.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Natural colour, a warm amber-gold with honeyed depth and a lustrous glow.
Nose
Opulent sherry depth greets the nose, with dried figs, raisins and dates pairing with orange zest and toffee. Dark chocolate and almond paste unfold beneath hints of vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg, all cloaked in warm oak and a refined, nutty finish.
Palate
Opulent and velvety on the palate, it unfurls with rich dried-fruit sweetness—figs and raisins—woven through toffee, honey and milk chocolate. Sherry depth is elegant, tempered by polished oak and spice: cinnamon, clove, ginger. The 55.6% ABV adds a measured warmth, expanding to a long finish of almond, orange zest and espresso.
Finish
Velvety and enduring, the finish blooms with sherry-soaked fruit, dried fig and orange zest, deepened by dark chocolate and warm spice. Rich oak lingers, fading to a gentle peppery glow that carries the whisky’s un-chillfiltered, high-ABV warmth.
