Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with ruby highlights and a coppery, mahogany glow.
Nose
Opulent nose of black cherry, raspberry and plum, brightened by vanilla and cocoa from Bourbon maturation. The Barolo finish adds Nebbiolo perfume—rose petals, dried fig, and red cherry—paired with tobacco, leather and cedar, lifted by a delicate balsamic undertone. Rich, inviting, and multilayered.
Palate
Silky and wine-kissed, this 21-year-old opens with ripe cherry and plum, threaded by Nebbiolo-like tannins from the Barolo cask finish. Vanilla and toffee from the bourbon lineage mingle with cocoa, spice, and a whisper of rose. The finish is long and elegant, echoing red fruit and refined oak spice.
Finish
An exceptionally long finish that coats the palate with velvety tannins and Barolo-spiked depth. Ripe cherry and plum mingle with dark cacao and dried fig, while spice and a whisper of leather linger into a refined, warming glow. Persistent and elegant, the finish slowly fades with a supple tannic kiss and a trace of balsamic sweetness.
