Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep mahogany with warm amber-gold highlights and a coppery glow.
Nose
Opulent PX-driven aroma, rich fig and prune jam, dark raisin with candied orange peel, all braided with toffee and vanilla oak. Subtle espresso and cocoa threads weave through warm spices—cinnamon and clove—while a silky barley note keeps it balanced. A dessert-like, syrupy sweetness hints at depth and length to come.
Palate
Lusciously rich and velvety, this full-bodied Highland whisky drinks with first-fill Pedro Ximénez influence: raisin, fig and date cloaked in treacle, dark chocolate and silky toffee. Orange zest, cinnamon and clove weave through supple oak, finishing long, sweet, and gently nutty with a warming, spicy ember.
Finish
Opulent and lasting, this finish pours PX-rich sweetness across the palate, with dark fig, raisin and date, treacle and cocoa. Orange zest brightens the sweetness, while subtle oak and spice weave through, warming the throat in a velvet embrace. A refined, lingering fade that invites another contemplative sip.
