Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery-red highlights and a touch of mahogany
Nose
Opulent, warm aroma of honeyed orchard fruit, hints of lemon zest and vanilla. Sherry cask influence unfolds as raisin, fig and prune mingle with cocoa, toffee and toasted almond. Subtle spices—cinnamon and clove—drift over polished oak and a whisper of leather, inviting a decadent, velvety sweetness.
Palate
Sherry-kissed and richly textured, the palate unfolds with prune, fig and raisin balanced by orange zest and toffee. Deep malt sweetness meets cocoa and burnt sugar, while cinnamon and clove spice lingers. At cask strength, the mouthfeel is velvety and warm, finishing long with oak, dried fruit and a hint of espresso.
Finish
Silky and expansive, the finish coats the palate with rich oak and sherry sweetness. Dried fig, raisin and orange zest unfurl into cocoa and toffee, while whispers of nutmeg and clove linger. A long, refined warmth sits on the tongue, the cask-strength backbone smoothing into an elegant, lasting malt finish.
