A Single cask Dalmore single malt, bottled by Montgomerie's for their Rare Select range. This was distilled in January 1990 and rested in a bourbon cask for 27 years before being bottled in September 2017 at 46% ABV.

Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery undertones and a honey-bronze glow.
Nose
Opulent vanilla and rich toffee rise first, brightened by orange zest and lemon rind. Beneath, toasty oak carries dried fig and raisin, entwined with almond paste and a kiss of cocoa. Warm spice, with cinnamon and nutmeg, adds depth, while a thread of honey rounds the bouquet and lingers with elegance.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied palate with creamy vanilla and toffee leading to bright orange zest and citrus oils. Cocoa, gentle spice and toasted oak unfurl, balanced by subtle orchard fruit. A long, refined finish of caramel, spice and warm oak lingers gracefully.

Long, elegant finish built on creamy vanilla and caramel from the bourbon cask, with gentle orange zest and dried fruit prevailing. Subtle oak spice and cocoa linger, revealing a warm, dry, refined tail that slowly fades to a whisper of toffee.
