Craigellachie Cooper's Choice - Single Port Cask #9464 Whisky 7 Year Old · 2008 Vintage
Out of stock
A stunning looking Craigellachie 7 year old single cask finished in a Port Pipe. This is possibly the reddest looking whisky we've ever seen here and more like a fortified Aussie shiraz rose of a malt, lots of crunchy cranberry, redcurrant jelly, creamy red berries, white pepper, watermelon and glace cherry. Summer drinking of a Speyside that has plenty going on for its youthfull 7 years.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Striking reddest, a deep ruby-red with pink-rose edges, like a fortified Shiraz rosé, gleaming with crimson and cherry-red highlights.
Nose
Crimson and glossy, the nose opens with a port-pipe flourish: cranberry and redcurrant jelly fuse with creamy red berries, watermelon and glace cherry. A touch of white pepper lifts the fragrance, while sherry-warmed depth and fortified fruit sweetness mingle with subtle malt character.
Palate
Vivid, berry-forward palate with crunchy cranberry and redcurrant jelly, creamy red berries plus watermelon and glace cherry. A white pepper lift keeps it bright, while subtle Port cask sweetness threads through, delivering a juicy, summer-ready mouthfeel from this seven-year-old Speyside single cask.
Finish
Long, velvety finish drenched in red fruits—cranberry, redcurrant and glace cherry—with a subtle Port sweetness and gentle white pepper heat; the berry notes linger with a creamy, ruby-glow aftertaste.
