Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, burnished amber with copper-gold glow and mahogany edges.
Nose
Elegant and richly scented, this nose blends honeyed malt with orchard fruit, unfolding into sherry-driven warmth—fig, raisin, and orange zest. Subtle toffee and cocoa mingle with polished oak, a touch of almond, and a whisper of smoke, all hinting at age and refinement.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied and luxurious, this Cragganmore delivers a plush procession of treacle toffee, dried figs and orange zest, tempered by walnut-rich oak and a kiss of cocoa. Sherry influence sweetens with raisin fruit, layered with cinnamon and clove spice, while toasty malt and honey thread to a long, velvety finish with subtle smoke and warm oak.
Finish
Extremely long, velvet finish, the sherry influence deepens into dried fruit—fig, raisin, prune—and brightens with orange zest, cacao and espresso notes. A ribbon of toasted oak and gentle spice—nutmeg, clove, cinnamon—lingers, warming the palate and fading to a refined, persistent warmth.
