A smokier version of the Compass Box release of Great King Street made from 2/3 Malt and 1/3 Grain Whisky and named in honour of the great city of Glasgow renowned for its love of a more full bodied style of dram.
17% Laphroaig 16% Clynelish 34% Benrinnes & 33% Cameron Bridge aged in a combination of 1st and re-fill Ex-Bourbon casks, 1st fill Ex-Sherry and French oak.
A great value for money blend from the ever reliable Compass Box and up there with Black Bottle as one of my go to every day drinking smoky blends.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich burnished amber with coppery edges and a honey-gold glow.
Nose
Salty citrus greets the nose, with smoked apple and dried fruit unfolding over toasted oak, a coastal, smoky brightness in harmony.
Palate
Treacle toffee and salted caramel dominate the palate, with peppery oak, waxy citrus, Christmas cake notes, vanilla and a whisper of smoked oatmeal.
Finish
An enduring, smoky finish of lime pickle and smoked citrus rinds, wrapped in spicy oak. A lingering note of smoked fruitcake lingers, leaving a warm, peppery fade with a touch of toasted sweetness.
