Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery highlights, a warm, sun-kissed hue that signals rich maturity and cask-driven depth.
Nose
An elegant nose of sun-warmed malt and vanilla oak, velveted with honeyed fruit. Dried apricot and sultana mingle with orchard apples, while almond and subtle spice add depth. A touch of cocoa and toffee drifts through, with a whisper of leather and old wood—elegant, persistent, and inviting.
Palate
Full-bodied and unapologetically bold, this cask-strength dram coats the palate with dark fruit and spice. Dried fig and raisin fuse with cocoa, vanilla and toasted oak, while cinnamon and pepper weave through the mid-palate. A warming, long finish lingers with leather, espresso and a final kiss of sweetness.
Finish
Opulent and persistent, the finish wraps the palate in dark dried fruit, fig and cocoa, with espresso-depth. Sherry-like richness threads through toasted oak as cinnamon and nutmeg linger. A warm glow of orange zest and almond remains, slowly fading to a subtle balsamic lift, carried by the high-ABV, non-chill filtered character.
