Bottled for the Artful Dodger range, this 1995 Caperdonich comes from single cask #95065 and was released at 29 years old at a natural strength of 58.6% ABV. Caperdonich closed in 2002 and was later demolished, which makes surviving bottlings like this all the more compelling.
With nearly three decades in cask, this is the sort of release where maturity and distillery character really matter, offering a more polished, layered style with orchard fruit, waxy sweetness, gentle spice and old oak all given plenty of time to settle into place.

Colour
Dark amber with burnished copper highlights and a honey-warm, sunlit glow.
Nose
Honeyed orchard fruit with soft waxiness, vanilla and polished oak, a bright note of citrus peel.
Palate
Rounded and mature on the palate, with ripe apple and malt sweetness entwined with gentle spice and seasoned oak, building to a long, composed finish.
Finish
An elongated, poised finish that lingers with ripe orchard fruit fading into soft spice, carried by mellow oak and a whisper of waxy sweetness. Subtle citrus peel notes drift through as the warmth settles, leaving a refined, lasting impression.
