Distilled on 28th October 1998 and filled into American Oak casks then finished in first-fill Manzanilla sherry casks on 25th May 2016.
Manzanilla sherry is famed for its coastal, nutty characteristics; characteristics shared by our own Bunnahabhain spirit. And that’s why they work together beautifully.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Sunlit golden amber with a warm honeyed glow.
Nose
Freshly baked pastry mingles with sweet almonds, rose petals, and grapefruit, lifted by dried spices and touched by mahogany and incense.
Palate
Coastal seaweed and fresh sea air meet raisins and dates, intertwined with creamy fudge, waxed red apples and a warm sweet spice reminiscent of star anise.
Finish
Spicy and aromatic, the finish lingers with caramelised walnuts as star anise wanes, revealing lemon peel and pears, finished by a gentle kiss of sea salt.
