Cracked leather, dusty books and antique wood announce decades of cask maturation, followed by dark fruits: maraschino cherries and orange oil, unfolding like a gourmet Black Forest Gateau.

Palate

Full-bodied and velvety, the palate unfolds with demerara-coated walnuts and pecans, mingling with plums, dates and banana bread, finished by a stick-toffee pudding sweetness. Subtle salinity and mineral notes emerge as salted caramel and waxy honey, weaving through the rich, malty-sweet Islay core to a long, warm, lightly spiced finish.

Finish

Mild spices of saffron, clove and nutmeg provide a warming, aromatic fade, while gentle wood smoke and salted caramel linger for many seconds, leaving a silky, honeyed glow.
