WMD refers to Whisky of mass distinction from the story that the USA goverment had checked out the distillery equipment for chemical weapon making capacity!
"Fruity on the nose-melon,apple, peach, strawberry, cranberry, pineapple, perfumed pear and orange marmalade.Hints of rose petal, vanilla and sweet malt.On the palate, syrupy, toffee sweetness mingles with soft fruits, later joined by licorice and peppery spices."
This is a 14 year old malt matured in American oak and finished in Rioja casks.
This is from the very first batch of releases which we believe were recalled as the label was printed incorrectly and didn't mention the word Whisky, also the tin was hand stickered.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Bright golden amber with a warm honey sheen and a subtle coppery glow.
Nose
Fruity on the nose, a jubilant orchard of aromas: melon, apple, peach, strawberry, cranberry and pineapple, with perfumed pear and orange marmalade. Subtle rose petal notes drift through, complemented by vanilla and soft malt. An inviting, floral sweetness hints at the richness to come.
Palate
Syrupy toffee sweetness mingles with soft fruits, later joined by licorice and peppery spices.
Finish
Silky, long finish of creamy toffee and ripe fruit, unfolding licorice and peppery spice. The Rioja finish adds a refined dryness with vanilla-tinted tannins, leaving a persistent red-fruit echo and an elegant, lingering warmth.
