Tasting Notes
Colour
Bright golden amber with sunlit honey tones and a warm bronze sheen, a coastal, bourbon-kissed glow.
Nose
Bright coastal aroma of fresh barley and sea spray, lifted by vanilla from bourbon cask maturation. Subtle toffee and honeyed sweetness intertwine with delicate oak, while gentle spice—cinnamon and a hint of clove—adds refinement. A saline, sun-warmed maritime note threads through, characteristic of Bruichladdich’s unpeated Islay style, inviting a creamy, airy bouquet.
Palate
Silky on the palate, creamy vanilla and soft caramel from bourbon casks mingle with fresh malt. Coastal brine and citrus lift the sweetness, while gentle spices—nutmeg and clove—linger mid-palate. A light oak backbone gives structure, finishing with saline sea-spray notes and a warm, lingering glow.
Finish
Long, maritime finish with sea-breeze salinity, vanilla bourbon sweetness and gentle spice that lingers, fading into soft oak.
