Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery flashes and a dusky mahogany edge, a warm, sunlit hue that promises sherried richness.
Nose
Opulent sherried nose of dried plum, fig and raisin partnered with dark cherry. Layers of cocoa, toffee and vanilla mingle with toasted spice through velvety oak, while a delicate almond note adds refinement. A hint of maritime salt and citrus zest threads through, keeping the aroma bright beneath its luxurious depth.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied on the palate, it unfolds with luxurious dark fruit—prune, fig and raisin—woven with toffee, orange zest and a walnut note from the sherry cask. Spices rise: cinnamon, clove, a kiss of vanilla. The texture is creamy and velvety, with a warm, long finish that carries chocolate, dried fruit and a subtle oak glow.
Finish
Long, velvety finish rich with sherried fruit—fig, prune and raisin—tinted by dark chocolate and toasted oak. Cinnamon and nutmeg weave in as the sweetness slowly recedes, leaving a refined, tannic warmth with hints of leather and a final whisper of spice.
