Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery shimmer and a whisper of mahogany, a warm, sherried glow.
Nose
Peat-forward, with briny sea air and iodine recalling coastal rocks warmed by smoke. Beneath, vanilla, almond and honey weave through dried fruit—fig and raisin—imparted by sherry casks. A medicinal, smoky undertone lingers, brightened by citrus zest, with hints of dark chocolate and espresso threading an elegant oak backbone.
Palate
Powerful peat smoke sits at the core, its medicinal coastal edge tempered by sherry-sweetness. Dried fig and raisin mingle with dark chocolate and orange zest, while vanilla and toasted oak add depth. A waxy, saline mouthfeel carries through a long finish of smoke, cocoa, and a bright citrus glow that lingers.
Finish
Long, maritime finish of peat smoke and sea-salt, layered with sherry-dark fruit and cocoa. The warmth lingers, releasing toasted oak, black pepper, and a mineral coastal bite that gradually fades to a dry, lingering smoke.
