Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and mahogany undertones, a rich sherry-kissed glow.
Nose
Brora’s peat smoke unfurls with maritime iodine and brine, framed by a lush sherry sweetness. Dried figs and fig paste mingle with dark chocolate and caramel, while orange zest and spice lift the aroma. Leather and polished oak provide ballast, finished by a mineral, saline brightness that lingers with elegance.
Palate
Silky and generous, Brora’s peat threads through a rich Sherry core: prune, fig and raisin mingle with cocoa, toffee and orange zest. A coastal saline note keeps it buoyant, while oak spice adds ballast. Long, smoky finish with warm chocolate and lingering sherry.
Finish
An expansive, lingering finish coats the palate with coastal peat and brine, then unfolds into velvety sherried darkness—dates, cacao and espresso, intertwined with oak spice. A refined, maritime glow lingers, drawing out a final whisper of smoke as the sweetness slowly fades.
