This is a six Year Old Single Cask of Broger’s signature ‘Burn Out’, a Single Malt Whisky made using a heavily peated malt, matured in French Limousin oak.
On the nose expect peaty tar, hints of dark pipe tobacco, black rubber and liquorice. Underneath aromas of caramel, BBQ sauce and sandalwood. The mouthfeel has a coating quality - oily and chewy. Notes of woodsmoke and chimney soot, hard rubber, liquorice root, and an underlying sweet citrus note.

Deep amber with coppery highlights and a warm, sun-kissed bronze glow.
Nose
Peat and tar rise, with smoke mingling with dark pipe tobacco, black rubber and liquorice. Beneath, caramel sweetness and BBQ sauce drift through sandalwood. Woodsmoke and chimney soot cling at the edges, alongside hints of hard rubber and liquorice root, lifted by a bright underlying citrus note.
Palate
An oily, chewy coating clings to the tongue. Smoke-laden notes push through: woodsmoke and chimney soot with hints of hard rubber and liquorice root. A subtle sweet citrus lift brightens the mid-palate, finishing long with a resinous, smoky echo.
Finish
Long, oily finish of peat smoke and chimney soot, grounded by liquorice root and dark rubber. A sweet citrus lift threads through as the Limousin oak takes hold, leaving a resinous, caramel-toned echo.
