New Single Cask Benromach from their Heritage range. Distilled in 1975 froma Single refill Sherry Hogshead, cask number 2230. This has been matured for 43 years before being bottled at a natural cask strength of 54.6% ABV. One of only 219 bottles and a style of Benromach that is different from the whoisky prodiced post 1998.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a warm coppery glow and mahogany edge, a ruby-tinted shimmer at the rim, hinting at rich sherry maturation.
Nose
Stewed apple, dried fruits and winter spices mingle with caramelised brown sugar and roasted nuts, leading to rich dark chocolate with hints of beeswax polish, mature oak and orange citrus. A little water adds creamy milk chocolate, intense Seville orange top notes and a hint of cracked black pepper.
Palate
Stewed plum and red apple sit on a base of dried tobacco and charred oak, with a gentle smoke. A few drops of water unlock vibrant orange and lime citrus, followed by stewed red fruits, a warm ginger echo, and a subtle aniseed edge that lingers with refined smokiness.
Finish
Vibrant citrus fruits mingle with smooth strawberry and cream followed by hints of liquorice and gentle traces of lingering smoke on the finish. Superb!
