Benromach Bordeaux Chateau Cissac Wood Finish Single Malt Scotch Whisky 2010 Vintage
In stock
The 2010 Edition of the always popular wood finished Benromach. This has been matured in first fill Bourbon casks and then finished for just over 2 years in Bordeaux Red Wine Casks. This is definitely a whisky showing the influence of the 2 casks.
On the nose we have a combination of quite tropical fruits, mango, papaya, blood orange and peach with subtle aromas of strawberry, and caramel, it's quite a big nose. The palate is richer and darker with black treacle, cherries, chocolate and prune. There's also a bit of tannin there as well. The finish is dry with the characteristic Benromach smoke coming though. Another top notch wood finish.
