From independent bottler, Fable, comes Volume 1. The Ghost Piper of Clanyard Bay. Comprising of five whiskies, or chapters as they are stylised, from all around Scotland with whisky sourced from some of the countries best and most recognisable distilleries.
Fable whisky has a focus on storytelling, shown in its poetic descriptions and striking imagery from Bolivian visual artist Hugo Cuellar.
Chapter 4, Bay, is a 12 year old Benrinnes aged in ex-Bourbon Hogshead's and bottled at 58.4% ABV with only 294 bottles produced.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Bright golden amber with warm honey highlights.
Nose
Vanilla-forward with toasted oak and rich caramel, balanced by honeyed sweetness and orchard fruit—pear and green apple. Lemon zest provides a bright lift, while a whisper of cinnamon and white pepper lingers. The ex-Bourbon cask adds warmth and depth, delivering a bold, inviting aroma that hints at the strength within.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied palate brims with vanilla bean, honeyed malt, and bright citrus zest. Bourbon-cask influence delivers toffee, toasted almond, and a measured spice that nudges toward white pepper. At 58.4% ABV the warmth carries through a long, warming finish of vanilla, ginger, and dried fruits, leaving an elegant, lingering orchard-fruit glow.
Finish
Long, warming finish that slowly reveals vanilla and honeyed oak, crowned by baking spices. Orange zest and green apple linger, with a gentle peppery fade that keeps the warmth alive long after the final sip.
