The BenRiach distillery was founded late in the 1800s, though was closed in 1900 and remained shut until the 1960s. Since then it has picked up where it left off over 60 years ago, producing Whisky in the Speyside region, and they even have their own malting floor.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery highlights and a warm mahogany edge.
Nose
Hay barns and burnt toast rise from the glass, edged by oily smoke. A delicate sweetness threads through, with heathery, herbal notes curling in the background.
Palate
Initially sweet and mouth-coating, it offers sweet fruits with beeswax and black pepper. Sooty smoke builds, bringing charcoal and a lingering, smoky finish.
Finish
Long, sweet-fruited and smoky, with a gentle wave of wood smoke that lingers; charcoal leaves a lasting ember.
