Benriach Peated Quarter Casks Single Malt Scotch Whisky
In stock
This peated expression of BenRiach has been matured in tiny quarter casks. These small barrels offer a much larger surface area of wood, leading to rapid maturation and extraction from the cask. Ripe orchard and stone fruit flavours mingle with nuts, spice, barley, and masses of peat smoke.

"There's a lot of peat in them barrels. The citrus is vital, a plethora of sugars and caramel leached from the casks make for a safe landing when the smoke and malt-with a slightly new make feel- arrive in intensive form. The caramel continues, now with spice, though seemingly youthful in some phases, works a treat."
