Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a tawny mahogany edge, a warm sunlit bronze that hints at sherry sweetness and well-seasoned oak.
Nose
Sherry-rich fruit greets the nose—ripe figs, raisins and dates with orange zest and a lacquer of toffee. Dark chocolate and espresso mingle with praline sweetness, while nutmeg and a touch of leather lend depth. The 57.1% ABV lends a bright, warming clarity to a luxurious, lingering aroma.
Palate
Opulent and syrupy, this fills the palate with cocoa-dusted raisin, fig and orange zest from sherry influence. Treacle sweetness blends with toasted oak, while cinnamon, clove and black pepper weave through, delivering a warming, long finish. A rich, viscous mouthfeel coats the tongue, with coffee, leather and spice lingering.
Finish
An enduring, warming finish of sherry-darkened fruit, dark chocolate and toasted oak, with dried raisin and fig, cinnamon and clove blooming before fading to velvet almond and spice as the warmth lingers.
