Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with coppery highlights and a tawny mahogany core, glowing with warm, inviting depth.
Nose
Opulent and inviting, the nose opens with honeyed malt and soft toffee, then swells with dried fruits—fig, date, raisin—under a delicate sherry glaze. Orange zest and vanilla threads mingle with toasted oak, while cinnamon spice adds refinement. A whisper of leather and cedar completes a warm, cultivated aroma.
Palate
Silky and richly sherried on the palate, delivering dark fruit compote of raisins, fig and plum, layered with cocoa, toffee and vanilla. Spices rise: cinnamon and clove, balanced by polished oak. A hint of orange zest adds brightness, with a long, warming finish.
Finish
Silky, long finish with sherried fruit and dark toffee: raisins, fig, and cocoa drift across the palate before a warm bloom of spice—cinnamon and nutmeg—then a subtle, nutty fade. The oak sheen persists, leaving a balanced, refined dryness that invites another sip.
