Colour

Golden amber with a warm honey glow.

Nose

Aromas of warm honey and creamy malt mingle with ripe orchard fruit, vanilla and soft oak. Subtle citrus zest and a whisper of spice lift the bouquet, finishing with a delicate, inviting sweetness.

Palate

Silky and honeyed, with orchard fruit and warm vanilla. Creamy toffee and a subtle sherry-influenced depth mingle with gentle spice and light oak, delivering a rounded mid-palate. The finish is long and warm, with almond notes and a hint of citrus zest.

Finish

An elegant, lingering finish: honeyed vanilla and toffee give way to toasted oak, with whispers of dried fruit and spice from sherry cask influence, fading to almond and soft warmth.

(bal-VENN-ee) Founded in 1889 by William Grant, Balvenie is located next to the giant Glenfiddich distillery on the outskirts of Dufftown in Speyside. The distillery employs traditional whisky making methods, being one of the few to retain its original floor maltings and on site cooperage. The Balvenie single malt is typically rich, luxuriously smooth, and has a distinctive honeyed character.
