The Balvenie French Oak is a vibrant Single Malt finished in casks previously held wine from the French Charentes vineyards. Pineau des Charentes It is a fortified wine, made from unfermented grape juice, to which a Cognac eau-de-vie is added and then matured.

Rich amber with a gleaming copper-gold core, a warm, honeyed depth that glows in the glass.

Nose

Beautifully balanced, light floral notes of lotus and geranium rise, weaving with hints of fresh meadow grass and peeled apple skin to reveal a crisp, inviting aroma.

Palate

An energizing zing of lemon rind and grapefruit meets the delicate sweetness of glazed fruits, with a hint of ginger spice.

Finish

Citrus zest, lemon and grapefruit, brightens the finale, with a delicate glaze of fruit and ginger that fades quickly, leaving a clean, refreshing finish.

(bal-VENN-ee) Founded in 1889 by William Grant, Balvenie is located next to the giant Glenfiddich distillery on the outskirts of Dufftown in Speyside. The distillery employs traditional whisky making methods, being one of the few to retain its original floor maltings and on site cooperage. The Balvenie single malt is typically rich, luxuriously smooth, and has a distinctive honeyed character.
