A 20 year old Single Malt from Auchroisk, independently bottled as part of the Darkness range. This was given a finishing period in a specially-coopered Sherry octave cask - specifically, this was finished in an octave that previous held Moscatel sherry.
Plenty of Rum & raisin ice cream, toffee sauce and some chocolate . Toffee apple and cinnamon. The palate has Seville oranges, Christmas fruitcake and nutty. Sweet with spices, sugared almonds and more sweet grapes.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a warm mahogany tint.
Nose
Opulent nose of honeyed toffee and dark chocolate, threaded with rum-raisin and dried fruit. Seville orange and marmalade mingle with almond sweetness, while cinnamon and nutmeg glow softly in the background. A delicate Moscatel lift from the sherry octave adds grape-y brightness, with a touch of oak hinting at the richness to follow.
Palate
Silky, velvety on the palate with moscatel-sweetness that coats the senses. Seville orange zest and Christmas fruitcake form a rich core, while nutty notes emerge alongside toffee, chocolate and a hint of rum-raisin dessert. Cinnamon and sugared almonds spice the middle, with lingering sweet grapes. A warm, sherried finish adds depth and chocolatey confection to the fruit-forward finale.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish, orange zest and Seville sweetness lingering with toffee and cinnamon. Raisin‑like Moscatel warmth threads through nutty almond notes, fading into a final kiss of spice and velvety oak.
