Auchroisk Flora & Fauna Single Malt Scotch Whisky 10 Year Old
In stock
Flora and Fauna, nicknamed by the late whisky writer, Michael Jackson, was a themed series of distillery only single malt whisky releases. Each distillery was given a particular creature as its symbol, which is elegantly displayed on each bottle's beautiful label.
In a striking hilltop location, visible from Rothes, is sited the Auchroisk distillery. The unusual name, meaning "Ford of the Red Stream" in Gaelic, refers to the Mulben Burn from which the distillery draws its cooling water.
However, the principle reason for the siting of the distillery is the Dories Well, an adundant source of soft, pure springwater. Through the smoke and nutty sweetness comes this unmistakeable silky water, followed by a dry, well balanced finish.
