After initially maturing in traditional oak casks over a number of years The Arran Single Malt in this bottling was ‘finished’ in a selection of Amarone wine casks sourced from an artisan producer of this iconic Italian red wine.
Arran Master Blender, James MacTaggart, has carefully monitored this period of secondary maturation to ensure the perfect balance is struck between the Amarone casks and the intrinsic sweet-fruity character of Arran Single Malt. The end result is a Single Malt full of charm, complexity and quality.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery-gold highlights and a warm, honey-bronze glow.
Nose
Poached pears and honey rise from the glass, mingling with toasted almonds and a delicate cranberry glow. With a touch of water, coffee notes deepen, followed by chocolate-orange and mellow butterscotch, yielding a warm, inviting aroma full of fruit, sweetness and subtle spice.
Palate
Dark chocolate and cherry mingle with Turkish delights, stewed fruits and toffee. Rich dark plum tones mellow with bitter-sweet apricot, softly spiced by a hint of cinnamon.
Finish
Poised and persistent, the finish blends Arran's refined finesse with the restrained fruit and oak from the Amarone casks. Concentrated and elegant, it lingers with a polished, well-balanced finale.
