Arran is one of our favourite distilleries here at Hard To Find whisky and their releases just get better and better as time goes on. This is the final release of their trilogy of 16,17 and 18 year old. It is the very first official release 18 year old from the Arran distillery. Matured solely in ex sherry casks, bottled at 46% and with no added colouring (as it should be). This bottle is going to be highly collectable as there was only 9000 ever made.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Natural, deep amber with coppery-gold glow and subtle mahogany edges, a warm, inviting hue drawn from ex‑sherry maturation.
Nose
Juicy melon and warming ginger open the nose, followed by creamy white chocolate and honey on toast. Freshly baked egg custard weaves through apricot glaze, while a lift of orange muscat wine adds sun-drenched sweetness and subtle floral intrigue.
Palate
Waxy orange and citrus lead the palate, carried by floral notes with hints of tinned peaches. Golden syrup sponge pudding and custard lend warmth, while peppery oak slowly mellows into a subtly spiced, refined finish.
Finish
An elegant Arran finish, richer and more contemplative than its younger siblings. The ex-sherry influence coats the palate with dried fruit, orange zest and almond cream, while waxy citrus threads mingle with gentle spice, fading to a long, refined warmth.
