Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep coppery amber with mahogany undertones.
Nose
Peat-smoked honeyed barley leads the aroma, mingling with rich sherry sweetness. Dried fig and raisin layer with almonds and vanilla, while cocoa, leather and warm oak add depth, finished by a faint mineral whisper.
Palate
Silky and full-bodied, this pours with peat-smoked barley, maritime brine and honeyed malt. Sherry-fleshed fruit—fig, cherry, raisin—dries gracefully beside almond and toffee. Spices flicker: cinnamon, clove, a hint of black pepper, all wrapped in warm oak. The finish is long, with lingering peat, cocoa nibs and a soft, nutty sweetness.
Finish
An enduring, warming finish that lingers with peat smoke and a refined sherry sweetness. Cocoa, dried orange rind and spice unfold slowly on the palate, balanced by polished oak, fading to a long, elegant glow.
