Tasting Notes
Colour
Radiant golden amber with coppery highlights and a honeyed warmth.
Nose
Peat smoke and iodine rise, carried on a briny sea breeze. A mineral, waxy backbone anchors notes of ash, with lemon zest and grapefruit curling through. Sherry influence hints at candied fruit and toasted almond, finishing in a warm, resinous sweetness.
Palate
Powerful peat and coastal smoke surge across the palate, tempered by iodine and sea-salt tang. A zing of citrus peel and black pepper rides atop a warm, waxy sweetness; sherry-influenced fruit notes provide dried raisin and dark chocolate hints. Bold, mouth-coating spirit with a long, smoky, peppery finish and a touch of medicinal ash.
Finish
An enduring, windswept finish of peat and iodine, where charred barrel smoke clings to the tongue, mingling with sea-salt minerals and a subtle sweetness that fades to a dry, oaken warmth. The peat persists, leaving a gently medicinal, coastal echo as it slowly wanes.
