"In many ways an essay in balance. This is a huge beast of a malt with seemingly insurmountable peat...until it encorages , then allows you to climb upon its back. Magnificent."

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with copper-bronze highlights and a subtle mahogany edge, a rich, sherry-kissed glow.
Nose
Towering peat smoke dominates, edged with iodine, creosote and tar. Sea-salt brine and mineral ash cling to the nostrils, while a whisper of vanilla, citrus rind and dark espresso threads through, lending a surprising lift to this ferocious Islay aroma.
Palate
Powerful peat floods the palate, rugged and briny, with iodine and mineral backbone. Dark chocolate, espresso, and dried fruit surface beneath, tempered by peppery spice and vanilla sweetness. Full-bodied and warming from 54.3% ABV, it lingers in a long maritime smoke, with citrus zest and a final kiss of sea salt.
Finish
Long, smoke-drenched finish crowned by sea-salt and medicinal peat. Ember-warmth lingers as dark cocoa and spice unfold, while the peat eases into a mineral, briny glow that persists, slowly fading to leave an echo of smoke on the palate.
