Colour
Deep amber-gold with warm honeyed copper highlights and a radiant bronze glow.
Nose
A dancing, multi-layered nose swept on a sea breeze. Oily peat and smoke mingle with dark chocolate, smoked fish, and seaweed, with a sharp herbal note. Waves of black pepper, creamy coffee, pine resin, smoked fudge, and even hints of smoked coconut.
Palate
Peppery, mouth-coating start gives way to sea-salty waves of smoked fish, then bacon, dark chocolate and Turkish coffee wash across the palate. Peachy esters rise with hints of hickory and a touch of black olives. Incredibly deep, a cask-driven tapestry echoing its Black Sea journey long after the sip.
Finish
Long, maritime finish: steadfast clove and tar create a backbone, while rich coffee lingers in the aftertaste. The warmth persists, a smoky, coastal echo that slowly fades into darkness.
