Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery, sunlit highlights.
Nose
Intense, coastal peat and medicinal aromas rise in a smoky, tar-kissed plume. Briny sea spray and iodine mingle with warm ash and charred timber, while hints of lemon zest, orange rind and vanilla caramel gild the backbone. A whisper of dark chocolate and nutmeg deepens the scent, balancing the bold, waxy peat with polished oak.
Palate
Powerful peat coats the palate with brazen smoke, medicinal iodine and a whisper of tar. Layered beneath, vanilla sweetness and citrus peel mingle with dark, sherried depth, while sea-salt and peppery spice keep it bracing. The finish is long, warming and relentlessly smoky, leaving a resinous, charcoal-laden echo.
Finish
Long, maritime finish with peat smoke lingering like a warm breath. Sherried sweetness drapes dried fig and raisin, while cocoa, spice and a hint of iodine weave through, leaving a resinous, warming echo of smoke that slowly fades.
