Tasting Notes

Colour

Bright golden amber with warm honey tones and a subtle coppery sheen.

Nose

Opulent vanilla and creamy toffee rise from the glass, with ripe pear and peach and a bright note of orange zest. Subtle spice—cinnamon and clove—dances with toasted oak and almond, lifted by honeyed sweetness. A warm, generous aroma that hints at the bourbon cask’s influence and refined elegance.

Finish

Velvety long finish of vanilla and caramel, braided with toasted oak and honeyed fruit. At 63.3% ABV, a peppery warmth lingers, gradually fading into creamy sweetness and gentle spice as the oak leaves its lasting impression.

(aber-LOW-er) Right in the centre of Aberlour village next to the banks of the Lour Burn the Aberlour distillery sits. In Gaelic Aberlour means “Mouth of the chattering burn”. Sadly in 1898 most of the Aberlour distillery was destroyed by a fire, however this led to the distillery being rebuilt and improvements made in the 1920s, after the second World War, the 1960s and also during the 1970s.
