Waterford Luna 1.1 is a landmark Whisky and the World’s first Single Malt distilled from Ireland’s only biodynamic barley. The bottling is the latest in Waterford’s Arcadian Series. Biodynamic agriculture goes beyond the ordinary ecological mindset and draws upon ancient lore to make crops more flavoursome and vibrant. Lauded by many of the world’s legendary winemakers, Waterford have worked with three Irish growers who have applied these unusual agricultural practices to growing barley.
Waterford Luna 1.1 Biodynamic Single Malt has a rich, oily texture with notes of fruit, fresh soil, lemon drizzle cake, cloves, almonds, milk chocolate, and a touch of fresh mint tea with a dry and mouth watering finish. It is best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water.

Nose
Bright fruit notes mingle with fresh soil, lemon drizzle cake and subtle clove spice. Almonds add nuttiness, tempered by milk chocolate, while a hint of mint tea finishes the bouquet with airy, mineral grace.
Palate
Rich and oily on the palate, it unfurls fruit and fresh soil with lemon drizzle cake, cloves, almonds and milk chocolate. A touch of fresh mint tea threads through, finishing dry and mouthwatering.
Finish
Dry, mouthwatering finish with citrus zest, almond and milk chocolate notes lingering, a faint minty whisper, and an oily warmth that invites the next sip.
